We hear it all the time

I really want to put a laser on my gun. We get comments like this all the time from people who just want to have a light or laser on the pistol. We do not have a problem with having lights or lasers on handguns. Everyday Carry handguns are less likely to need a light on them by most people. Having a flashlight is in our opinion more useful. Don’t get me wrong, I carry a handgun with a light. But I am 5 ft 10 and a little above average in the weight department. I can use the wider holster to my advantage in appendix carry. I carry the Sig Macro with the TLR7 Sub at appendix carry. We find many people are a little narrow in the waist area and want to conceal a Glock 19 with a TLR1 on. It is possible to do for many but quite a few peoples lifestyle does not allow for it usually. A better choice maybe the TLR7a

Please do us all a favor and stick with quality name brand lights when you choose to carry a light on your handgun.  If you get an off brand light at the super discount store, chances are it will not last very long and you definitely will have a hard time finding a proper holster for it. Remember the usual thought is “Big Gun, Big Light”  “Small Gun, Small Light”. There are reasons for that. Barrel shadowing is a good reason. Remember that Light Designers usually design the light for a specific job and handgun combination. A one size fits all is usually not the best choice. Do not let price dictate the type of light or laser you are wanting. Make a Pro and Con list. Justify why you want a light on your everyday carry. you know your lifestyle best. Choose wisely.
